Sri Lanka records 3,000 COVID-19 cases

Sri Lanka has recorded 3,000 COVID-19 cases after two more persons tested positive.

Two individuals who arrived from the UAE and three persons who arrived from the Maldives tested positive for the virus today.

128 individuals are currently receiving treatment for COVID-19.

The number of COVID-19 recoveries rose to 2,860 after eleven persons who contracted COVID-19 recovered and were discharged.

Five persons were discharged from the Welikanda Base Hospital, three from the Minuwangoda Base Hospital, two from the National Institute of Infectious Diseases and one individual was discharged from the Iranawila Hospital.

52 persons suspected to have contracted the virus remain under observation.
