The Ministry of Health says all foreign nationals arriving in the country must quarantine for two weeks.
The Head of the Epidemiology Unit, Dr. Sudath Samaraweera said those landing in the country should have a negative PCR test result.
He said those landing in the country, irrespective of the nationality will also be tested for coronavirus. Dr. Sudath Samaraweera noted that officials have been instructed to continue all safety protocols in place in order to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.
Sri Lanka has not reported any community transmissions for several months.
A majority of the recent confirmed coronavirus cases have been reported from quarantine centres that house persons arriving from various nations. (Newsradio)
