Police have launched a special operation to identify all persons who left the Western Province yesterday, with complete disregard for prior directives issued by security forces.
Accordingly the operation will be carried out at lodges, hotels and other accommodations.
Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana warned that any persons found to have violated quarantine law, will have legal action filed against them.
It will also be determined as to how any such persons had avoided Police and road blocks when leaving the Western Province.
DIG Rohana stressed accordingly that anyone who had left yesterday and returns to the province on Monday, would be subject to stringent investigations, whilst legal action will be filed against them on charges of violating quarantine regulations.
