500 COVID – 19 deaths in May as Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka’s COVID 19 deaths in this month alone has now reached to 500, with 46 deaths announced yesterday.

Deaths reported in first 22 days of the month is now surpassed the total of all COVID 19 deaths in the rest of the year so far.

474 COVID 19 deaths reported from 1 January to 30 April.

Officials said deaths reported yesterday were occured between 16-22 May.

This is the highest number of deaths announced in a single day for the 3rd consecutive day.

Sri Lanka’s death toll due to COVID 19 pandemic is now stands at 1,178.
