71 COVID deaths reported during past 24 hours

Another 71 persons have succumbed to the novel coronavirus during the past 24 hours.

The Department of Government Information said Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 related death toll increased to 2,704.

38 females and 33 males were among the victims. 32 of the female victims were over 60 years of age while six were between the ages of 30 and 59.

Of the male victims, 25 were over 60 years, seven between 30 and 59 years and one was below 30 years.
