No more hotel stay till PCR for fully vaccinated Lankans

Minister of Health Keheliya Rambukwella says fully vaccinated Sri Lankans arriving in the country will not be required to stay at a hotel for PCR testing.

Minister Rambukwella said they will be subject to a PCR test at the Bandaranaike International Airport upon arrival by the Ministry of Health.

The new programme will begin next week.

In the event of a negative test result, arrivals will be allowed to travel home from the airport.

Accordingly, Sri Lankans visiting the island will not be required to pay for hotel stays during the PCR testing period while the time spent on this measure has also been reduced.
