New study uncovers nine core long term symptoms of COVID-19, occurring 90-180 days after being diagnosed.
Taking to Twitter Professor of the Department of Immunology and Molecular Biology at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Dr. Chandima Jeewandara listed out symptoms such as abnormal breathing, abdominal symptoms, anxiety/depression, chest/throat pain, cognitive problems, fatigue or headache and muscle pain.
Dr. Jeewandara said patients have a 15% probability of being diagnosed with anxiety/depression while the probability of other symptoms vary between 8% to 1.5%.
Dr. Jeewandara added long-COVID symptoms were more frequent in those who had been hospitalised, adding they were slightly more common in women.
