Salaries of graduates recruited to state service to increase

The government says steps will be taken to increase the salaries of the graduates who were recruited to the state service recently, and will be made permanent.

Speaking in Parliament today, State Minister of Provincial Councils & Local Government Roshan Ranasinghe said accordingly their monthly allowance is due to be Rs.41,000.

State Minister Ranasinghe further noted the special training programme arranged for the nearly 58,000 skilled graduates recruited to the state service couldn’t be provided in a stringent manner due to the COVID-19 situation.
